Abstract :
This paper presents a directional relay based on compensated positive sequence voltage and current theory. It possesses stable and distinct directional discrimination under different fault conditions. Theoretical analysis and dynamic tests on a physical model confirm that the relay is effective and valuable in transmission line protection.
