Abstract :
The aim of the paper is to describe a powerful method for the design and testing of a fast and robust railway distance protection method. The entire algorithm has been created and tested with the help of the programming language models implemented in the ATP-EMTP (electromagnetic transient program). A method for the impedance measurement adapted to the nonconventional current and voltage sensors is presented.
