Abstract :
This paper addresses an alternative approach to analyse nominal and robust stability via Youla parametrization (1976). The parameter, Q, which is used to form all nominally stabilizing controllers, can then be interpreted as a feedback compensator in the transformed framework of this method. Thus, we can purposefully design the parameter Q to achieve H/sub /spl infin// optimal performance. In addition, the constructive procedure is provided to form the standard plant in the presence of uncertainties. The condition of robust stability is also obtained for the uncertain systems.<>
