Abstract :
This paper continues the research efforts, initiated in the earlier mentioned references. The aim is to develop the location algorithm, which optimally and possibly in the simplest way utilises information from impedance relays. The presented considerations are related to the more general case of parallel transmission lines and adaptation to the single line application is straightforward. The assumed notation is depicted. Phasors are further used to represent the signals and the measured apparent impedances.
