Abstract :
The effects of sampling time on the open-loop zeros of a sampled-data system were explored by Astrom et al. (1984). However, the effects of skew ratio on the behaviour of the open-loop zeros are relatively unknown. In this paper, we show how the locations of the finite zeros of a sampled-data system are affected by skew ratio via theory and an example. Analytical expressions to measure the sensitivity of these zeros with respect to the skew ratio are provided. The behaviour of the finite zeros with respect to skew ratio is also demonstrated by simulation studies.<>
