Abstract
This paper deals with the observation and control of an induction motor. An observer in cascade for a class of nonlinear systems is used to estimate the state, and identify a component of the load torque which is a function of the rotor speed. A control law with two goals of regulating rotor speed and rotor flux amplitude is applied; and we show that the resulting closed loop system, which depends on the estimates, is asymptotically stable
