Abstract :
This paper presents a different view based on the quantum physics about the theory of the field evaporation (FEV). Thermal activation and ion tunneling are described mathematically as parts of an integrated process of FEV. On the base of this model calculations are made and they are compared with precise experimental data. It is concluded that a better and more precise description of the FEV can be done by taking into account ion tunneling
