Abstract :
Speed of graphic update and display is the difficult points of WebGIS. This paper proposes a WebGIS acceleration engine solution based on the problems in current WebGIS platforms, which referred to the spatial data model, the indexing and caching, also the client data sharing and collaboration. With this engine, the author suggests new WebGIS architecture, and a new distributed deployment model. The possible problems of the new WebGIS platform is also pointed out.
