Abstract
This paper presents a local space mouse that can be used in cursor localization and control in indoor display equipment. It is based on TDOA(time difference of arrival) and nine-axis attitude sensor, and it has high accuracy, high sensitivity and high refresh rate. In this system, the mobile node launches encoded wireless signals and encoded ultrasonic signals simultaneously and periodically; fixed nodes receive wireless and ultrasonic signals, match them according to the encoded information, and measure the time difference of two signals´ arrival. The central processing unit uses time difference to calculate the distance from transmitter to each receiver in order to localize the transmitter. Combining the transmitter´s position and nine-axis attitude sensors data, it is possible to calculate the position of the see-point on reference plane, which implements the function of space mouse.
