  • Abstract
In this paper, data on laser local electrode atom probe (LEAPreg) investigations of alkanethiol self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) and poly-3-alkylthiophenes (P3ATs) are presented. Alkanethiols represent an opportunity to understand atom probe tomography (APT) field ionization and reconstruction issues, as applied to polymers, at their most basic level. Laser LEAPreg coupled with APT applied to polymers can provide a direct probe of nanostructure by way of observed molecular fragment distributions
