Abstract :
In this paper we extend our study to include the external field angle dependence of the time independent switching field, H/sub swo(/spl theta/)/, for granular and multilayer perpendicular media. Comparison of H/sub swo(/spl theta/)/ with a calculated head field provides further insight to the technologically important issues of transition definition and side-writing of adjacent tracks for these two classes of perpendicular recording media.
