    In industrial fields special data aquisition systems are used for long-term measurements of critical parameters or to supervise sensitive processes. Self-diagnosis components are important to ensure a high field maintainability and to avoid faulty measurements. For two system configurations the problems linked with the realization of self-diagnosis are explained
