  • Abstract
    Dielectric testing is part of quality assurance and preventative maintenance programs. It helps to determine the actual condition of rotating machine insulation and its components. Testing allows users a way to prevent losses due to unforeseen/undetected faults. Dielectric tests can verify the efficiency of corrective measures such as cleaning and drying procedures as well as repair measures. Dielectric testing includes, dielectric response analysis, loss factor and capacitance measurement, harmonic loss quantity analysis and partial discharge pattern recording
