Abstract :
A bearingless motor is a motor with magnetically integrated bearing function. In the last two decades, extensive work has been done within bearingless motor research and development. This paper gives a comprehensive overview over published literatures regarding different motor types, bearing force and drive torque modelling, control problems and methods, and applications. Over 90 literatures have been reviewed and cited in the references.
