Abstract :
In this paper, a new algorithm for frequency of arrival (FOA) and two dimensional (2-D) angles of arrival (AOAs) signal parameters estimation is proposed, which is based on two parallel uniform linear arrays (ULAs). Three subarrays are constructed by taking the special structure of the array. The proposed method is simple and does not require initialization or pairing matching. The key component is that the three eigenvalue matrix pencils obtained share the same signal subspace. We obtain the correct (¿, ß, f) through a simple search procedure by exploiting the above property. Simulation results and comparisons with other existing algorithms are carried out to demonstrate the performance of the proposed method.
