Abstract :
Besides applications in control engineering and economic science, fuzzy logic has become increasingly important in legal science. Many vague legal concepts exist in German law. Their interpretation depends on the individual judicial decision. In this paper, a special example on `determining the required period of waiting after traffic accidents´ demonstrates the way to realize legal assistance systems with fuzzy logic
