Abstract :
This paper presents the novel concept of the generation mechanism of the solitary electromagnetic wave (SEMW) by the switching device. The SEMW concept is formed by fusing the electromagnetic wave (EMW) theory and the nonlinear undulation theory. The behavior of the SEMW on the PL and the SL are explained. The low impedance lossy line (LILL) technology and the matched impedance lossy line (MILL) technology were developed based on the SEMW concept. The design examples of the on-chip LILL and the MILL, and the effectiveness of them are also presented.
