Abstract
Embedded automotive systems come to the front as highlight of IT fusion technologies, but are often troubled by increasing functional complexity, strict safety requirements, and misunderstanding between developers. Many developers of embedded software cannot help depending on their subjective experience to assure reliability of work output, but it isn´t enough. We think systematic development process is one of solution for overcoming many problems that may occur during developing automotive software. The process supplies the essential activities, outputs and guidelines for efficient development and quality management of software. Also it identifies verification items by clarifying the relationships among activities and enforcing the outputs review. Automated tools based on standard can be useful solutions for decreasing complexity of embedded software development. Now, there are no tools supporting complete software development cycle. In this paper, our goals are to achieve the process based development for automotive embedded software supporting tool. And derive the verification items needed to verify the adequacy of work outputs for going to next development phase. To do this, we define integrated process including both development and qualifying the management methods based on AUTOSAR, and apply it to develop hardware topology (HT) designer as tool supporting automotive embedded software.
