Abstract
Analog to Digital Converters (ADC) are one of the popular blocks in the area of mixed signal devices. This paper presents a circuit for 2-bit current-mode Flash ADC with very low propagation delay. The ADC employs high speed current comparator. Further, a high speed thermometer to binary CMOS pass gate encoder is implemented that exhibits an average delay of 0.25ns. The design which explicates 2-bit conversion can be expanded up to n-bits. The results assert the fact that there are no bubbles in the output. 0.18μm CMOS technology with 1.8V power supply voltage is used.
