Abstract :
A micro-stimulator design for visual prosthesis based on optic nerve stimulation is presented in this paper. The micro-stimulator is designed to control 64 electrodes, offer single pulse or multiple pulses train which are variable range such as from 1 muA to 2 mA current amplitudes, from 20 mus to 400 mus duration, from 0 to 350 Hz frequency. The micro current pulses transmitting to the penetrating multi-electrode-arrays will stimulate optic nerve to elicit phosphenes within visual field.
