Abstract :
In this paper investigated the performance of LDPC codes with real high-density magnetic tape recording signals from metal particle media. It is believed that Low Density Parity Check (LDFC) codes may be more appropriate for tape recording systems where the per-channel data rate requirement is significantly lower than that of hard disk drives.
