Abstract :
A family of 3-dimensional frequency-domain finite element solvers, based on magnetic vector potential/electric scalar potential formulations using the Coulomb gauge, has been developed for the analysis of a wide range of electrical equipment and installations. The solvers are designed to be compatible with the SLIM suite of electromagnetic finite-element software. The family comprises a magnetostatic solver (slim-adc), a power-frequency or eddy-current solver (slim-av) and a coupled-field solver (slim-avhf) for high frequency applications. An accompanying static stream solver (slim-vdc) has been developed to provide a pre-processing function for source currents for the three field solvers
