Abstract :
Recently, some monitoring projects, by means of embedded systems, have been carried out on AC machines . They all relate to the problem of real-time measurement of nonsinusoidal signals. This article gives the general principles of real-time measurement of nonsinusoidal AC electrical parameters and lays emphasis on some technical problems which occur in practice such as interruptions, real-time calculation, elimination of phase errors and smoothing filters for current signals. The discussion of these problems is of great importance both in theory and in practice.<>
