  • Abstract
    Currently mobile operators have imposed crucial requirements on energy efficiency for their networks. The challenges faced by network operators are first introduced. Then this paper presents energy saving solutions currently adopted in TD-SCDMA system, such as BBU pool+ RRU, energy saving scheme in BS. Finally the paper provides a brief description of possible solutions currently discussed in 3GPP for LTE.
