Abstract :
This paper introduces the design of Fractional-Order PID controller for highly nonlinear dynamic pH neutralization process. pH control delivers an important role in a wide range of industrial applications. The pH process presents a difficult control problem due to its high nonlinear characteristic as well as uncertainty. A mathematical modeling of pH process is presented in this paper and on this basis classical PID and Fractional-order PID controllers have been designed using constraint based optimization in MATLAB/SIMULINK. The simulation results reflect that the better control quality enhancements and effective disturbance resistance is offered by Fractional-order PID controller as compared to classical PID controller.
