Abstract :
A method of improving the accuracy of force calculations that use Maxwell´s stress tensor, based on error analysis, is described. The method transforms the standard integration into a summation of forces acting on element edges in the integral region. The method requires that the magnetic field strength or the magnetic flux density be corrected at the edge, depending on the potential type, by higher order secondary interpolation of potential and equivalent magnetic circuit. The improvement in the force accuracy and the path-independence of the integration have been achieved with the proposed method
