Abstract
Presents some results of complex aircraft experiment conducted to study sea surface in the NW Pacific near the Kamchatka Peninsula. The present experiment was conducted using a Δk-spectrometer (dual-frequency scatterometer) simultaneously with a scatterometer and a radiometer for the measurement of radar backscatter and brightness temperature variations. The application of these instruments made it possible to reconstruct the current velocity picture and temperature fronts in the shelf area and to connect these phenomena with underwater bottom topography. Zones of internal wave packets were identified and estimates were made of the influence of currents associated with internal waves on the surface wave spectra transformation
