Abstract :
Third-order spectrum and its one-dimensional slice are introduced in this paper for condition monitoring of electrical machines. In this paper, all the studies are based on a three-phase induction machine with power supply asymmetrical fault. The machine vibration signals operating at different conditions are thoroughly analyzed. Very promising results were obtained and presented. The results and analysis indicate that third-order spectrum approach is a very useful tool for the analysis of machines fault
