Abstract :
In this paper, the CMR effects in RE/sub 1-x/AE/sub x/MnO/sub 3/ based pervoskites which is attractive for potential applications, is defined by the interplay between lattice, electronic and magnetic subsystems. The CMR effects is pronounced in particular for the compounds where an antiferromagnetic insulating state transforms to a paramagnetic insulating state via an intermediate ferromagnetic metallic state, as it takes place in the Pr/sub 0.5/Sr/sub 0.5/MnO/sub 3/ perovskite.
