Abstract :
This paper describes the technological and programmatic requirements to test adversary helicopter neutralization capabilities for facility physical security (counter-terrorism) planning. Specifically, the paper reports findings from anti-aircraft testing using advanced laser engagement simulation equipment. The purpose is to discuss “how helicopter neutralization performance testing may be performed” and “equipment application lessons-learned”, thereby providing guidance regarding where/how to begin planning to meet other site specific anti-aircraft/helicopter interdiction performance testing needs; and providing electrical technology manufacturers or users of conflict simulation and computer modeling technology with revised equipment performance requirements
