Abstract :
This paper presents the application of an algorithm for detection of obstacles by a mobile robot. Mentioned algorithm is used in system of navigation and control of climbing robot Safari. An image from a camera mounted on the body of the robot is communicated by a wireless Ethernet and is digitized and stored in computer memory . In this work experimental results of recognitions of obstacles are presented. Good speed of processing of image by proposed methods in the paper allow to detect obstacles in real time
