Abstract :
DDoS attacks nowadays are manoeuvred from the botnet. The traffic which is created from the botnet normally behaves as the legitimate traffic this is considered as masquerading. This masquerading now has employed in many of the cyber attacks. Moreover the format of the same attack varies from one incident to another this is considered as camouflaging. To have detection for such attacks which employs camouflaging and masquerading the solution needs to be worked out with use of various detection methods which simply means fabrication. Fabrication should place a pre-emptive strategy in place to corner the attack at its initial stage that will minimize the loss. One such strategy is presented in this paper which obligates an online comparison against the request which may cause serious problems to resources and the offline comparison against the requests which are passive. This paper therefore proposes a two-tier detection fabric this improves the DDoS handling process in detecting, mitigating etc.
