Abstract :
In this paper, we investigate a special tower of function fields, which is asymptotically bad. The primary goal is to construct explicitly a class of algebraic-geometry (AG) codes based on this tower. The so called Hermitian codes are codes corresponding to the 2nd function field in this tower.
