Abstract :
This paper presents an analytical expression for the readback signal produced by a GMR read head passing over a slanted magnetic transition. The expression. derived from the Karlqvist head-field approximation, provides a computationally efficient method for calculating the readback signal that is ideally suited for developing computer simulations.
