Abstract
This paper introduces dualistic Petri nets, which is an extension of the process class of Petri nets. Dualistic Petri nets take advantage of the dualism inherent in the two constructs, transformation and place, and result in a truly homomorphic system of abstraction ideally suited for depicting the architecture of computer-based systems. This extended paradigm allows for the abstract representation of parallel processing and dynamic place objects
