Abstract :
Over the last two years the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) has been working to bring together three areas of investigation to advance the understanding of the electromagnetic scattering process and create usable images from the received data. Those areas include real vegetation and computer modeling of various vegetation environments, constructing computer facet models of various objects of interest with surrounding terrain, and wideband holographic synthetic aperture radar (HSAR) measurements. Recently work has been done using HSAR data to produce interferometric SAR (IFSAR) images containing height information of the illuminated terrain and objects of interest. Analysis of height information allows another use for HASR data and provides additional dimensional information besides the 3D information already available from standard HSAR algorithms
