Abstract
This paper presents the application of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) based on Kalman filter to replace PI speed controller for PMSM using direct torque control (DTC). Simulation results show that the proposed controller can provide better speed control performance than those obtained by the application of a conventional PI controller.
