Abstract :
A modified fast direction of arrival estimation algorithm based on pseudospectral matrix is proposed. Previously the Fast DOA estimation algorithm presented by Kim et al.´s has a serious limitation that it employs DDDA technique that is based on eigen-value decomposition method of the pseudocovariance matrix, which cannot perform optimally for very weak signals. In this method we mitigate with this issue by using pseudospectral matrix instead of pseudocovariance and employ a better beamformer called minimum power distortionless (MPDR) beamformer.
