Abstract :
This paper discusses a new methodology to assess the optimum Long Term Expansion Plan primarily for offshore grid development. It will consider the important factors that dictate successful calculation of the optimum solution and discuss their significance through results taken from analysis. The paper will also discuss the development of this methodology into a more complete method which accounts for a wider range of tests as to the technical acceptance of the defined Long Term Expansion Plan solution.
