Abstract
The specific properties of an Innoslab (partially pumped slab) MOPA are discussed and compared to fiber and thin-disk solid-state lasers. The scaling in terms of average power and peak power as well as pulse duration is discussed. A simple and compact single stage MOPA with 620 W average power and a dual-stage MOPA with 1.1 kW average power at 615 fs pulse duration, 20 MHz repetition rate and almost diffraction-limited beam quality is presented.
