Abstract :
In this paper, we report ultrashort pulse amplification with Yb:YAG SCF for the first time to our knowledge. A passively mode-locked Yb3+:KYW oscillator delivers ultrashort pulses at a repetition rate of 30 MHz with a transform limited pulse duration of 220 fs. These pulses were seeded into the Yb:YAG SCF (provided by Fibercryst) amplifier.
