Abstract
The paper presents an investigation showing how the intensity profile of a conical refraction (CR) beam evolves spatially around the Lloyd plane, revealing previously unreported observations. The polarisation relationship along the conically refracted beam is also discussed and other work that shows how circularly polarised light can be used to generate zeroth and first ordered Bessel beams from conically refractive crystals.
