Abstract :
This paper is focused on constructing a secure access solution for signaling between the IP Multimedia Services User Equipment (IMS UE) and the IMS network, from components well-accepted to be secure. By complying with the access-security related Third Generation Partnership Projectpsilas standard we ensure signaling interoperability of the solution. Additional considerations for the solution include carrier-grade robustness, when modifying security parameters for increased security, for example, and an ability to operate in any Internet Protocol (IP) network environment to which the UE happens to attach.
