Abstract :
This paper presents a spectral-domain formulation of two-dimensional electromagnetic scattering from a lamellar grating in which some ridges are removed. The formulation based on the rigorous coupled-wave analysis with the help of the pseudo-periodic Fourier transform. This transform converts an arbitrary function into pseudo-periodic one, and the scattering problem from imperfectly periodic structure becomes able to be considered by the conventional grating theory.
