Abstract :
Electromagnetic scattering analysis is presented for a two layered periodic structure consisted of arbitrary shapes. The periodic cell consists of two or more scattering elements consisted of different dielectric materials situated in a slab medium. The structural arrangement of the double layered arrays possess unique properties that are lacking in single layered array. The numerical results show that the frequency response behavior of the structure can be controlled to meet a specific purpose. It is possible to design a variety of important filters for practical applications by varing the parameters of both arrays and background medium.
