Abstract :
Eu3+:KGd(WO4)2 laser crystal and its stimulated emission at 703 nm along with 5D0→ 7F4 transition is reported. The room temperature lasing at about 703 nm was obtained under pulse optical pumping at 533.6 nm. The 25% Eu:KGW was excited by second harmonic Nd:KGW laser pulses with 10 ns in duration and up to 16 mJ in energy.
