Abstract :
Employing an master-oscillator power-amplifier system (MOPA), scheme an efficient and compact Ho:YAG laser system is realized. The oscillator rod is pumped by a 50 W cw thulium fiber laser. At 1000 Hz repetition rate a final pulse energy of 22 m J results from approximately 100 W of pump power. The laser system operates in transversal fundamental mode regime.
