Abstract :
Materials are one of the key factors of production. The cost of materials supply takes larger proportion of the total cost of logistics in the manufacturing enterprises. The materials supply system is separated from the production logistics system and establishes an efficient and low-cost materials supply management system which is fit for the characteristics of manufacturing industry, considering the following issues in the mixed-model production, such as high complexity of materials supply management, poor coordination of materials supply systems, high inventory cost and so on. Integrating the basic method of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Just In Time (JIT), The model of materials sequence supply is put forward for the mixed-model production and their principles, processes, characteristics and adaptabilities are analyzed, so the entire materials supply system can operate in the formation of cooperation, synchronization, coordination and complementation. The materials supply can cooperate greatly with the real product flows on the mixed-model production lines, eliminate the redundant factors in materials supply systems (including inventory, processes, operations), so logistics can serve production smoothly and efficiently.
