Abstract
This panel paper presents recent efforts in developing power quality data analytics for evaluating the performance of switched capacitor banks and their circuit switchers or breakers. The analytics tool evaluates if a switched capacitor has been energized or de-energized, and if the operation is successful. The analytics are capable of evaluating the performance of synchronous closing control and a switch restrike on opening condition. Example application using real-world power quality data is presented.
