Abstract :
The Dedicated Control Channel (DCCH) plays an important role in all generations of cellular networks, such as, GSM1, HSP2 and LTE3, by this logical channel, some infor- mation between UE4 and network can be carried. Should be considered that accessing to the DCCH is the gate of entrance to the every cellular networks, as if accessing is successful, therefore, the rest of other call-setup process will be possible, so DCCH channel accessing is one of the most remarkable issues that RF5 planner and optimization engineers must consider it. In this paper, a real fundamental established cellular network (GSM) is surveyed and the radio frequency network performance evaluation is presented on the basis of KPIs6 parameters in general and SDCCH7 Access Success in particular, and different issues, findings, trials and improvements have been summarized and observations/recommendations have been listed to correlate the practical aspects of RF optimization, which affect the improvement of SDCCH Access Success in cellular network.
